TV is still, by far, the best way to reach the masses in the United States. Today, there is a lack of representation of South Asian music, dance, and theater on mainstream television. This population represents approximately 1% of the population. Aside from a handful of actors, most artists are from South Asia are not able to make it, really make it.

Over the year, SAFAC will promote collaborations between producers and artists. These organizations, guided by SAFAC, will take on a single episode or mini-series as their main project. With the aim of to have them aired on major networks (like PBS, Smithsonian, History, etc.), the series will explore different art mediums including dance, music, poetry, and visual art.
